Overview


SF6 gas is one of the six greenhouse gases listed in the Kyoto Protocol, with a greenhouse effect 23,900 times that of carbon dioxide (CO2), and a lifespan of 3,200 years in the atmosphere. It is the main insulation and interruption medium in high-voltage electrical products, accounting for over 80% of SF6 gas emissions. Therefore, limiting and controlling the use and emission of SF6 gas is of great significance for the development of the world's electric power industry.

Product Features

The N2Cplus environmentally friendly gas-insulated metal-enclosed ring network cabinet adopts low-pressure pure nitrogen (N2) insulation, phase-to-phase unobstructed discharge insulation partitions, and has no insulation aging and failure risks. The design concept of a minimum functional pressure as low as zero gauge pressure can delay the time it takes for equipment leaks to reach atmospheric pressure, ensuring the rated insulation level of the equipment and allowing for convenient arrangements for power-off inspections and maintenance, thereby increasing equipment reliability.

  • The N2Cplus cabinet is compact and has the same footprint as an SF6 gas-insulated ring network cabinet. It fully complies with the standardized design dimensions required by the State Grid Corporation of China for ring network cabinets.
  • The cabinet features a modular stainless steel enclosure, an airtight ring network or multi-circuit power supply switchgear. Each functional unit is composed of a three-position isolation switch-vacuum load switch, a three-position isolation switch-vacuum circuit breaker, and other main switches. The functional units can be expanded in any direction using bus connectors. The bus side three-position isolation switch and vacuum arc-extinguishing chamber second closing achieve line-side grounding, providing true maintenance-free functionality. The cabinet also offers a line-side three-position isolation switch with fast grounding function, seamlessly integrating with SF6 cabinets.
  • Reliable interlocking ensures that vacuum load switches and vacuum circuit breakers can only be closed and opened when the three-position isolation switch is in the three normal positions, thereby limiting the arc within the vacuum bubble, avoiding deterioration of insulation gas, and increasing the number of operations for fault currents.
  • Each basic functional unit is equipped with an independent gas tank and has independent gas monitoring and pressure relief devices.
  • The design and manufacturing process of the switchgear ensures safe operation under given environmental conditions and special environmental conditions. All high-voltage live parts are completely sealed in N2 gas tanks and are not affected by the environment, which is maintenance-free.
  • Silicone rubber connectors are used between the switchgear, which can achieve lateral expansion or top expansion solutions, and the busbar connection is convenient and reliable, ensuring the safe connection of switchgear for each different design scheme.
  • The cable connections for the incoming and outgoing line switchgear also have the characteristics of simplicity, speed, and safety.

 

Scope of application:

The N2Cplus environmentally friendly gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear is suitable for 12kV secondary distribution systems, and is used for power supply in ring networks, dual-radiation power supply, and cable-fed networks in densely populated industrial and commercial areas as well as rural towns and villages with high power consumption.
